The breath monitor is a medical device for children up to one year of age that monitors the respiratory arrest and any irregularity of the child's breath. If necessary, it immediately triggers an alarm, which calls the parents or medical staff so that they can provide the child with first aid.
The Křižovatka Foundation is a non-governmental non-profit organization that spreads awareness in the Czech Republic about the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and about the possibilities of protecting vulnerable children under one year of age. During its existence, it has already helped equip Czech hospitals with 6,300 breath monitors.
