Energy prices are rising - fix them with us!

Electricity and gas prices have been moving upwards in recent months. For households, this is a reminder that today's offers may not remain the same forever. If you want to keep the commercial part of the price under control, you can fix it with Fonergy until the end of 2029.

Prices have moved up since spring

For electricity, the average wholesale price increased for four consecutive months. From EUR 81.82/MWh in April, it reached EUR 138.21/MWh in August. This is an increase of almost 69%. The average for the first eighteen days of September was even higher, reaching EUR 157.92/MWh.

Gas also became more expensive in the summer. Its average price rose from EUR 46.75/MWh in June to EUR 55.87/MWh in July and EUR 62.90/MWh in August. For the first seventeen days of September, the average was EUR 78.14/MWh.

What's happening with the price of electricity

Electricity prices fluctuate daily. However, the longer-term trend is more important than a single day. From April to August, its average wholesale price increased every month, and September so far confirms this trend.

Daily prices can fluctuate significantly, so a short period of lower prices may not mean the end of the upward trend. Therefore, it is more sensible for households to look at several months and the supplier's specific offer.

What's happening with the price of gas

Gas prices saw a more significant increase in the summer. The average price rose in July and August, and the September average is even higher so far. For households that use gas for heating, the price increase can mean a significant impact on the family budget.

It doesn't make sense to wait for a single cheaper day for gas either. What matters is the price at which you can actually purchase energy, how long it will be valid, and how much gas you will consume per year.

What this means for your household

You won't see the exchange price on your invoice from one day to the next. Suppliers purchase energy in advance, and the final payment also includes regulated components, distribution, taxes, and other items. However, market developments influence the offers suppliers can prepare for the future.

If you don't want to monitor the market every month and wonder if prices will rise again, fixing your price can bring you more certainty. You will know in advance what the commercial price of electricity or gas will be for the agreed period.

Fixovka offers electricity and gas prices until the end of 2029

With the Fixovka tariff, you can fix the commercial price of electricity or gas until the end of 2029. We offer electricity at CZK 2,349 excluding VAT per MWh, i.e., CZK 2,842 including VAT. We offer gas at CZK 849 excluding VAT per MWh, i.e., CZK 1,027 including VAT.

Fixovka Online is suitable for lower consumption

Do you have a small apartment, cottage, garage, or other low-consumption point of use? Then Fixovka Online might be suitable for you. It has a low fixed monthly fee starting from CZK 45, but a higher price per MWh consumed. Electricity costs CZK 2,740 excluding VAT, i.e., CZK 3,315 including VAT per MWh, and gas costs CZK 1,090 excluding VAT, i.e., CZK 1,319 including VAT per MWh. For low consumption, a lower fixed fee may be more advantageous than a lower price per MWh. We will be happy to help you compare both options.

Price fixing helps predict the commercial price of energy, not the entire final payment. Regulated components may change in the future. Therefore, before signing up, it is necessary to review the current price list and terms and conditions.

What to compare before deciding

·         The commercial price of electricity or gas, and whether it is stated with VAT.

·         The duration of the price fixation and the conditions for early termination of the contract.

·         The fixed monthly fee, other commercial fees, and the current regulated part of the price.

·         Your own annual consumption and an estimate of the total annual payment, not just the price per MWh.

Conclusion

Electricity and gas prices have been moving upwards in recent months, and no one can guarantee today where they will go next. If you want to keep the commercial part of the price under control, fix it with us until the end of 2029. For lower consumption, you can choose Fixovka Online with a low fixed monthly fee.
